2+2 still = 4 on my IOS calculator. Seems to be working for me.
[doublepost=1505515737][/doublepost]

Now type 2+2+2+2+2 as fast as you can and see what happens... Broken for about 5 betas on iOS 11.

It doesn't even have to be super fast, typing multiple entries at a normal pace breaks it.

Got up to 48 by pressing 2+2 over and over. Don’t see any issue

I see it different as I'm a developer .

I understand and respect you for the work you do.

However, as a mere user, the next OS update will contain many 'improvements', few of which will interest me and, where they impinge on the usefulness of the OS (as far as I am concerned) will be disabled. I may restore some of these as I become used to the new OS later in the year or perhaps next year or perhaps never. Foe example I have tried Siri on many occasions but really have no use for it (i'm sure many will disagree). The Apple photo app is unnecessarily complicated to someone who does NOT want photos to be indexed. Nested folders suit me, I know where all of my 23,000 photos are without the help of some strange photo processing software.

Just a couple of examples of aspects of the OS that I have little interest in. On the other hand I appreciate the ability to have all my, and my wife's phones and iPads synchronised together. Contacts and diaries are so easy to use.

It is a case of no size suits all I suppose.

If the prices of the phones continue to rise exponentially, offering little benefit to me then I will simply Dump Apple and make do with other offerings. It would be a shame but when you are faced with a phone cost over £1200 (in the UK) for the X things are becoming daft.

I continually see posts about iOS performance for older devices and even current ones being lackluster in iOS 11 beta. These people keep hoping to see a difference in the GM and while they probably will improve performance alittle further. However you won't see final performance until July next year when iOS 11.2.3 or 11.3.1 or whatever is released. Apple does this every year, why set yourself up for disappointment in the GM or even official release when we all know it'll take months before iOS 11 is truly "polished"
I doubt it's Apple's intention or our desire to live with an unpolished OS for 10 months per year. So we should only expect the OS to work properly from July through September? I don't see how that philosophy even makes sense. These are very expensive premium devices and an OS shouldn't be released until it is polished.

I would say because if you don't update within the first day you get that annoying badge along with constant badgering to update. Everyone expects a level of perfection from Apple. have you walked into other shops And then walk into an Apple Store? Everything has a place, everything is clean and tidy everything looks like perfection, why that example cannot be implemented into a release is beyond me.

Our phones will continue working (besides the newest models) on 10.3.3, why not wait until it's polished before release? Like I said above they wouldn't open an Apple Store that's half assed/complete same should apply here.

Things are never polished enough, and in many instances various issues don't even come up until many more people use the new version and report those issues and they could be investigated. It's the typical software development lifecycle. People can hope for magic, but reality stays reality nonetheless.

And the badge to update hardly comes up after the first day, often enough not even after the first week if not more for many.

Seems like short of some fairly big widespread issues that get addressed fairly quickly, for the most part even the initial x.0 versions work properly for most people.

I agree, as I don't remember personally having any seriously debilitating issues with a new iOS. I was savvy enough to wait a few days after that initial launch that bricked some phones (I already forget if that was 10 or 9), but otherwise most issues people find are more OCD/design type flaws that I'd never even notice.

I was really just taking issue with the idea that the OS shouldn't be expected to be a finished product until its final update 2 months before the next OS comes out.

The worst thing about this bug is that there's no conceivable reason for it to exist.

The calculator app doesn't have any new features. Why would the code have changed enough to break input handling like this?

Like many other apps it uses some built-in and shared lower level frameworks/libraries that have been changed or affected by one thing or another?

Perfection because beta 10 for devs.....Not day 1 , days passed away and last result must be good but not.
None of that means perfection should be expected. It should be of production quality, but that doesn't mean perfection.
