Why do you love Omnifocus?

Hi everyone, I was searching for the best calendar-todo-reminder type of app and tried most of the popular ones in the appstore. (2Do, Fantastical, Pocket informant, anydo, ical, calendars 5 and dozens (really, dozens)).

Im currently using Calendars 5, the integration of reminders and calendars with a simple desing is why im using it and im pretty happy with it.

What i dont understand is I downloaded omnifocus2 months ago and i was planning to ask this for a long time. Why do you guys love it?? Most of the reviews on appstore are great and also reviews on internet is pretty good as well. What functions are making this app so unique, inbox, project etc. I dont understand. As i mentioned I used it many months ago and didnt like it, as far as i remember it had no reminder integration, and many more things i dont like.

Why do you guys love it so much, what am i missing ?

OmniFocus provides a ton of functionality to organize your todos and projects with ease (but there is a learning curve).

You can set start and due starts, add contexts (a tool, place, or thing you need to get an action done), set an estimated time for completion, and you can even set up sequential projects (actions are visible as you complete them in order). OF also has Perspectives, which are views that allow you to focus on tasks that are relevant to you right now. This makes it easier so that you're not faced with all your tasks at once, including the ones you can't deal with now.

OF follows the Getting Things Done (GTD) methodology, which is where some of that learning curve comes in. However, you don't have to follow this system (I haven't read the book; I simply read OF guide and read things online). OF provides flexibility.

The reason one might use OF over something like Reminders is for the complexity, flexibility, and organizational value it provides. But you may not need this! I wouldn't recommend OF to everyone. You need to know whether or not it's a tool you need for your lifestyle.

I should note that OF doesn't really compare to Reminders because it doesn't have notifications for reminding you about stuff (which I wish it did!). It sends a notification when something is due.
