I've recently created an iCloud mail account and almost every mail ends up in spam

I just sent a test email from my Gmail account and it went in the junk folder too

Any idea on how to fix?

What are using as a mail client (app)? Are you using Mail in OS X? If so, can you tell us what your setting are in the this preference pane in Mail app. Also, in that same pane in the Rules tab, do you have any rules enabled.

I use iCloud mail and do not have this issue, so I'm thinking it may be some setting on your end.

Yes i'm using the Mail client with default settings, no rules

Mails get filtered even using iCloud mail on the browser

Hmm... odd.

If you completely quit the Mail app then send yourself an email from GMail, does that still go to Junk at icloud.com in a browser. Quit Mail app first so it is not filtering anything.

Also, on icloud.com go to Mail then click the cog in the lower left to look at preferences. On the far right there is aplace there for rules also. Those get run on the server side. Do you have ay rules going on there.

Can you give me an idea of how many different address this is happening with? If it happens on icloud.com can you try marking a bunch as not junk and see if that helps?

Yes it still happens, no rules on iCloud.com also

I've tested it with my Gmail account, a Yahoo account from a friend of mine and happened with Amazon too

For every one of those emails, so to iCloud.com and drag the message from the Junk folder to the inbox. That will let iCloud know those messages are not spam and hopefully train the filter. You need to do it from icloud.com and not the Mail app as that won't train the filter. See if that helps after a a few messages.

If that does not help, all I can think of is to call Apple and maybe they can see something odd going on with your account. With it happening at iCloud.com and no rules, it pretty much rules out any setting or anything you may have done wrong.

According to the OP's settings in his screenshot in post #3, I'm wondering if it would help for him to have junk mail kept in the inbox so at least he'll see it (first choice under "When junk mail arrives"). He can see that it is considered spam and can move it later. This will keep him from missing mail but junk will be marked with a yellow box at the top. He currently has it set to go to the junk mail box. The downside is that all junk mail will go to the inbox instead of the junk folder, but he can change that after the filter is trained a bit.

Yes, I think you are correct that that would help. Still going to be a hassle though since they are being flagged server side, so he will need to login to icloud.com every time to move them and train the filter.

That is a good idea but i am not sure it can work since it is moved to the junk folder on the server

That setting is for client-side use, not server-side. Try it and see how it works after some test emails from other providers.

Exactly, what i'm stating is that the spam filter already puts emails in the junk folders on the server, so that setting client side won't affect anything

Just tried and as supposed mails are in the spam folder

This tells me that something may be wrong with your installation of macOS.

I believe it would be helpful for us to know the following:
1. Which version of Apple's desktop operating system are you using?
2. Which Mac hardware are you using?

I don't think so. What he is saying makes sense. It has already been moved on the server side, so no matter what is done on the client it will still go to the Junk folder on OS X.

If that were the case then there would be no need for a client-side setting at all. But, as we're aware, one exists.. and I believe it exists to move junk mail back to the inbox once it's on the client machine.

I still think it may help to know the specs of your machine and OS.

I'm just telling what I have observed. I have it set to put Junk in the inbox, but if an iCloud message comes through that was marked as junk on the server side for me, it stays in the Junk folder.

Thank you for your observations, @Weaselboy.

In that case, I've misunderstood that setting.. which causes me to think that my help will be insufficient. I feel I should bow out now. Good luck, OP.

Hello everybody, the Apple support said there is no issue in my account but that the spam filters are very tight because of a lot of phishing attack lately

They suggested me to set up a lot of rules, that sounds kinda messy but i'll give it a try
