I hate it as much as I hated Siri. I'm afraid I just don't like talking at my phone. Looking forward to trying Google Now though.

I'd be interested to know how you got Google Now on your GS3? I've got a sim-free GS3 but still no 4.1 update.
It's very slow for me. Google Now works almost instantly (on a good 3G connection).
You can always root your phone and flash custom ROMs. It's what I've done.
People hate S-Voice for the same reason people hate TouchWiz, MotoBlur, and HTC Sense: it is a bloated, unnecessary modification to pure Android.

Also I like TouchWiz, it's pretty fast for me.
Was rubbish on my S3, really slow and couldn't recognise my voice properly. Kept mistaking "Mum" for "Mom" and wouldn't call/text that contact.
Siri can't do "mum" either. Might be because I have a contact named mom though....
