How come when you just want to add a few more songs onto your iPod iTunes has to erase the entire thing then sync everything back with the few more songs you wanted to add? I have about 100 songs on my iPod and I wanted to add a few more but the only option is to erase the entire thing then sync everything back and including the extra songs I wanted to add. Why does iTunes do this? Why can't it just add the few more songs onto your iPod without having to erase your entire library and add everything back?

It comes up with the warning that the iPod has been synced with a different library and needs to be erased every time you plug it in?
I meant that when I want to add a song to my iPod the only option is to erase everything then sync it all back with the the few more songs I wanted add. So I'm complaining why iTunes can't just add that one more song onto your iPod without having to erase everything.
How do you know it is erasing everything?
I have mine set up to sync a few playlists, not the whole library, and if songs get added to the playlist, it adds them to the iPod. It doesn't erase the whole thing and re-add everything.
Well, I have a few playlists on my iPod and wanted to add one more so I selected that playlist for iTunes to add to my library. But instead iTunes erased my entire library and only put that single playlist instead of just adding it to my iPod.
When you plug the iPod in, click on it on the left, then Click on the Music tab.
On that tab, there are two choices, Sync entire library; and Sync only the selected playlists.
If you choose Sync entire library, all of your music and playlists will be added to the iPod.
If you choose Sync only the selected playlists, only the playlists you choose will be added.
