Is it because of "exclusive" deals with the publishing companies? Its been months and months and the selection of titles aren't that great.

Sure, you could always find a book to read while browsing through the store, but if you were searching a specific title, it seems that iBooks never has it in store.
 
I'm sure some of it is exclusive deals. Mostly it probably has to do with the little amount of time Apple has been in the iBook market. It will take some time to negotiate the deals, but eventually I think Apple will catch up.

Its been months since the release of iBooks and the iPad itself and it seems the top ten or the best sellers list has stayed the same throughout...
 
Kindle has been doing the book thing for years...Apple for only months.
And the "more better" guy was mocking your English skills. ;)
 
I like the iBooks app better, but the kindle is the one I use for all my book purchase because of price and availability.
