Why does low battery warning have to be so loud?

Currently using Airpods Max and previously had Airpods 1, Airpods 2, and Airpods Pro. The low battery warning is so loud. What's the point of it? I can hear it even if it's 20% of the volume. It startles me sometimes and it's uncomfortably loud.

Why not just make the warning sound using whatever volume you're listening to now?

Is it different from AirPods Pro? Because when I watch movies with them with the volume at 85%, the warning sound is way too loud as well. But it does change with the sound level. I just wish it wasn't so high pitched, that actually hurts.
