On pressing the power button on the back of my brand new iMac i5 (Bought in store on Nov 21st), the white screen appears after 5-7 seconds and then the boot time is incredibly fast since I have an SSD installed. But I'm disturbed now with the fact that the white screen takes such a long time and I was wondering if anyone else had a similar issue?

Should I show this to my local Apple Store Genius bar?

Go into system preferences and change your start up disk to your HDD, that'll sort it for you ;)

Thanks but I should have mentioned that I did that and the white screen to apple logo time that was more than 10 seconds improved but the black screen/off state to white screen is still 5-7 seconds which it never was in the earlier iMacs I owned. (I had an iMac 2006 and 2008). I also reset my NVRAM settings to see if that made a difference but NOT.

What do I do?
