I always put my iMac to sleep when I done using it. But every time I come back into the room and turn the light on, it wakes up. I tried looking around for info but couldn't find anything. Does the mac have a motion sensor? It's annoying because I have to put it back to sleep every time.

Do you have a UPS? I know that my UPS has a tendency to read the "blip" caused by turning on fluorescent lights as a power interruption and kick in for a second. Some (all?) UPSes send a "wake" signal over the USB connection any time they goes to battery power, which will in turn wake the attached computer.
That's what happens in my house, anyway. If you don't have a UPS, no idea--maybe you have fluorescent lights and they're causing enough of a power twitch to cause some other connected USB device to maybe flicker off for a fraction of a second, which would wake the computer?

Happens when you turn the light on?
If so perhaps the infra red sensor is causing the iMac to turn on. To test turn off the infra red sensor System Preferences - Security - general - disable infrared receiver.

I take it no UPS. As mag2001 suggested, first try unplugging all USB (and FW if you have any) except the keyboard, and see if it does it then. If so, try turning off bluetooth (and, heck, airport too) and see what that does. If still no love, and you have a wired network connection, try unplugging THAT too--basically leave nothing plugged in but the keyboard and power.
If none of that helps, I'm stumped--it's got to be some kind of weird EM interference, but I can't imagine what.
Also, you didn't say: Is this a fluorescent light, or incandescent?

Seriously, I bet it is a USB device. My POS Logitech mouse wakes my iMac G5 up all the time.You guys were right. It was one of the USB device. I still wonder how it senses me coming in the room though. Thanks for your help!
