Why does my iTunes freeze when I plug my iPod into my computer? Plus, I have 'no music' on my iPod?

Okay, so I have an iPod Classic 120GB!

My iTunes is fine as far as I know. When I plug my iPod to my iTunes, it just freezes and doesn't let me do anything unless I plug it out!

On the iPod, it just says 'Do Not Disconnect'!

Plus, it deleted all my music (on my iPod) and I can't listen to anything! Someone help me!!!

I checked everywhere for help, even on the Apple website but I just can't figure anything out! HELP!!!

But personally, I don't think it's iTunes, iI think it's my iPod! I've resetted it but still no luck :( Please help!

This isn't great news I'm afraid. I have an old iPod which does the same thing, its hard drive's gone bad :(

If you're still in warranty take it in and get it replaced/repaired, if not you can try and use disk utility to save it (I'm assuming you have a mac).

Use disk utility to completely wipe your iPod and then launch iTunes and try a restore. I got this to work on my problem iPod for a while.

On the bright side(ish) I think replacing the hard drive in those is quite easy.
