I just got my iPhone 6 and I am pretty sure I'm going to return it, it's practically unusable without these tweaks, especially with the size. You literally have to completely readjust your grip EVERY single time you want to close a tab to reach the top left corner, vs using Sleipnizer's U, L and R gestures.

Also, opening a new tab in the background is much easier when it just automatically opens when you hold down the link vs giving you a popup menu.

Coming from larger android devices I know what you mean. However you get used to it. The iPhone 6 is actually smaller then my last two phones. I think it's the perfect size now which is what prompted me to come back to Apple.

You will get used to it. Such a silly reason to return the device imo.

How long do you think before a jailbreak? Could Pangu pull a rabbit and spring one on us in November?

No offense, but why even ask this question? No one here can answer that with any validity. All we can do is be patient.

No idea why people seem to be up in arms about estimating a jailbreak release date.

Yes, since 8.1 is dropping before end of October, the pangu team could very well drop a Jailbreak around or following this date. No one knows.

Bc the phone is almost unusable coming from a jailbroken phone.

I don't think unusable is the right term in any shape or form. That sounds like a bit of an exaggeration in my opinion

It might be hard to adjust to a non-jailbroken device but no where near unusable

I meant in regards to not being able to reach the top left and right corners and not having shortcuts to compensate.

Dramatic much :roll eyes:

#FirstWorldProblems

Don't get me wrong - I'm also jailbroken obsessive, but the phone still gets the job done without a JB.

This doesn't solve the main problem of not being able to reach the x to close the tab.

It doesn't? Seems to work fine for me in safari in the tab view. At any rate, not every problem for every one will be solved by stock iOS.

Swipe nav was obsolete when iOS 7 was released. Reachability is a new feature in iOS 8 on the 6 and 6 Plus. The phone is quite usable. There's no need to reach anywhere. In fact it's easier to use than a 5S now. Lol. Might look into a reachability tweak for myself.

OP doesn't know how to use the phone. Could have used reachability or just swipe tab aside to close it.

SwipeNav was not obsolete when iOS 7 was released, you are thinking of "swipe back" which is totally different. SwipeNav allows you to swipe left to right anywhere in the screen to return to the previous menu. Swipe back requires you to swipe right from the far left edge which is far less convenient.

Reachability does not fix the issue either, it is still FAR more efficient and intuitive to use SwipeNav.

Sorry, but that doesn't sound so bad. Not nearly enough to make me take it back. I don't really under stand why you made this thread. There is no jailbreak for iOS 8.

This was more in regard to past jailbreaks although it still applies to iOS 8 as people should be wanting it for the reasons I stated, esp w the 6 plus.

SwipeNav is amazing in iOS7, couldn't live without it

Yep, best tweak by far. Did you not get the 6?

Nop, don't really see the point to spend $700 on a phone that doesn't bring any special benefit. Sure if it was given to me, but $700 is hard to swallow considering the nexus costs half the price

Yeah

Sleipner mobile is available in the App Store snd allows gestures for closing and opening tabs. Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for but maybe worth checking out.

Yeah thought about that but I tried it before on my 4S and it wasn't as good of a browser as Safari despite those awesome gestures. Thanks though!

Yes, it does. you can't reach the x w reachability? I'm sorry I don't believe you.

If you loved your tweaks so much you should have stayed w your old device as your everyday then when a jb comes out use or buy the new one.

You're right I was mistaken as I didn't realize reachability worked after you had already hit the bottom right tab square to display the x.

I did keep my 4S and planned on using it until a JB came out but I didnt realize that the phone came preloaded w my number that once activated could not be switched back without an adapter that apparently no store carries so I have to order it online.
