I have a custom PC running windows 10, I have a 240hz 1080p 27 inch acer predator on display port and LG ultra wide 1080P on DisplayPort as well on windows 10.
on the Mac side these same two monitors are connected via HDMI to my new Mac mini M1. (this issue was the same when connecting my 2019 MacBook to these monitors too). the text is super fuzzy and looks like bad anti aliasing in a game when using these monitors on Mac. but on windows everything is super sharp. what can be done to fix this?

Windows generally looks better on 1080 and 1440 than macOS, likely because of how many 1080p displays are still used with Windows systems, whereas with Apple they are in this HiDPI state of mind and by default now disable font smoothing and probably don't spend a lot of time making macOS look as good on HD/QHD displays.

You can reenable and play with font smoothing settings some:
