I went to the :apple: store, and saw the new MacBook Airs in person. And I saw the 11" and the 13". Normally, I think that anything below 13" is way too small, but when I saw them I thought the 11" was perfect and the 13" was was way to big. (Well not as big as the 17" MBP I saw, but that's a different story.)
Why do you think that was?

It's because you use your iPod touch or iPhone too much. You eyes don't like big screens anymore. Just buy the 11", problem solved. It's even cheaper than the 13". Apple sold millions for 11", and lots of people obviously don't think it is the best size.

Probably because of its high resolution of 1440 x 900. its pretty high for a small device like that

Because it is. Being used to a 13" MBP, I went to Best Buy last Monday to check out the MacBook Airs. There was only one on display. Having used it for a few minutes I asked the sales gal where the 11.6" version was. She explained it was the one I had been using. I drove 45 miles to the nearest Apple Store that evening to compare the 13" with the 11.6". Left with an 11.6" Ultimate and haven't looked back since.

The only Apple product I have is a 21" iMac. Though I am getting an iPad for Christmas, more than likely.

That's a very interesting story (and funny). I would've felt embarrassed after the salesgirl told me that.

Hmmm.. I guess it proves one thing... that people on this forum don't know you and they won't be able to explain why you feel in a certain way.

Yeah, I was very suprised too when I felt that way. I even thought the 13" weighed a little too heavy. I'm kinda weird.

I guess it's probably because I've been using ultralight laptops all my life. My 13" Macbook Air somehow felt just a little heavier than average.

It's funny how that is. I've had my new MBA since the first of November. I have the 11.6 maxed out. I've had to use my rev c a few times since and it just seems so clunky size wise now.

For a netbook, I think the 11" is actually a little too big.

The 11" makes just about anything save an iPad look big. It's small enough that you might even be tricked into thinking the iPad is almost bigger, if it isn't sitting close by.

The 13" never got bigger. Actually a bit smaller. On the other hand, that 1440x900 resolution really plays tricks with you. It almost gives the feeling it's a 15" screen just because of that.

However, you don't really see what the 13" resolution truly does for you until you import an iPhoto library into it. Once I saw my Botanical shots come up, my jaw dropped. This is like the closest I've seen to a bigger version of the retina display that I've seen. Absolutely beautiful to view DSLR photos on.

The 1440x900 is the resolution the 11" has, right?
