For a long time my MacBook pro (2015) carried on using battery when I put it to sleep unpowered, so that it was often completely drained when morning arrived. I did everything that was suggested to me on forums, and then finally I solved the problem simply by turning off Wifi each time I put it to sleep.

But why is wifi using so much power? On my other machine, which is set up in exactly the same way, the wifi does not consume nearly so much battery.
I'm using 10.14.4
Enable power nap is unchecked.
Wake for wifi access is turned off (but that is only for when on power adapter anyway)

All ideas gratefully received.
