My Wi-Fi network is connected but when I ran Wireless Diagnostics it says: "You are connected to a Wi-Fi network that cannot communicate with the internet...try restarting router. If that doesn’t work contact Apple Care." Is there something I need to look into or can I ignore it? Thank you.

So...can you connect to the internet (load pages) or not?

If yes, don't worry about it.

If yes....why run the diagnostic?
Yes I can connect to the internet but I get disconnected from time to time and I ran Wire Diagnostics to try to see if it detected any issues that I might try to address.

To clarify, are you getting disconnected from the internet, or from WiFi?

If it is from the internet only, odds are it is not your computer; more likely router/modem/provider. One thing you can try is manually entering your own DNS settings, and use something different from your router.

Assuming a default setup, the laptop is getting/using the DNS from your router. Try entering some other DNS settings in the WifI advanced area. A couple to consider:

8.8.8.8 (Google)
