Why doesn't Apple Remote fully work in XBMC

So that's cool that Apple Remote on my iphone actually controls my AppleTV! No more looking for my lost little silver remote which I always loose cuz it's so small!!

However... The Apple Remote seems to only play/pause in XBMC, it won't navigate through the menus... I wonder why?

Because the Apple Remote app wasn't written for XBMC, especially since it is a jailbreak app.

There's an app called Rowmote that works for both ATV and XBMC. You have to install the plugin via NitoTV for it to work and pay $5 for the app, but it works great.

It's also a universal app so it is native on both the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. Additionally it will work as a remote for a Mac computer if you install the app for it.
