This time, I don't just mean there are no tracks/albums, I mean that there is no category for music.

All I get on the iPod screen starts with 'videos'.

The last significant thing I did was to drag some audio files over to iTunes, and now I can't access Music.

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Up to now, my problems of this sort seem to have stemmed from not knowing about ticking a particular box or whatever. But this is throwing me.

iTunes is showing all the music is there. Sync appears to be working as well.

TIA

Sorry if I have wasted anyone's time with this question. I found the answer.

I don't know how, but the main menu settings had been changed to not show music.

Is this a bug thing? I swear I didn't touch settings.

Sometimes I get this impending sense of doom and advancing age as I come across this sea of seemingly endless customisation of menus, settings and options!

ROFL!! It can certainly get to you after a while. :D

At least you got it working again.
