Why doesn't my 17" MacBook Pro want to keep the correct time?

dumb question: why is it that my MacBook Pro won't keep the correct time? I've gone in to the system settings and I've told it to keep the time automatically with Apple. but for some reason, every time I reboot my laptop the time is off by 3 hours and I have to go to the settings and do it all over again.

I've both auto and manually setting the time, but it still doesn't work. what am I doing wrong?

yes, I am using Boot Camp, but my time in Windows isn't messed up. it only happens on the Mac side.

I'll try it and see what happpens.

You may have to reset your Windows time after that fix.
