I know you can repeat the reminder daily but in Notification Center it displays the date you originally set it to remind you on to the right. There should be an option under "On a Day" that says "Daily". I love how I can set reminders for certain times but I also want to be reminded daily of certain things so I can accomplish my goals. Am I right?

Enter your reminder (+). Highlight it (tap on it to select). The Details Box will appear. You will find what you want under Repeat.

If I understand what the op wants this does not acomplish it. I have the same issue with a reminder I put in for my wife to take her morning meds, the alarm goes off on the first day but no alarm for the days after. Unles you go back in the reminder and update the due date.

I agree with b-rad g - a recurring calendar appointment is the better way to accomplish this. I use reminds only for on-off or geofenced alerts.

Why not just use a calendar appointment?

I have tried that too, but when you pull on the notification center it doesn't just show the appointment for that day but also a few days ahead so your looking at the same thing like three times and they all have the date next to it. I guess what I'm looking for is more of a to-do list, without any day or time attached to it, that works with notification center.

I just tried a test. At 9:30am, I created a 10am reminder, and set it to repeat daily. After it alerted, the notification center showed how long ago that happened. I then went into the reminders app and checked off the reminder as completed - the nortification center now shows "Tomorrow, 10:00 AM" as the time of the reminder.

Summary - try checking off the item as completed in the reminders app, and it should then show the next scheduled alert time in notification center.

Yeah, Reminders seem pointless to me. I threw it into my folder of junk apps in the back along with the iTunes Store.

Apple should just merge Reminders and Calendar/iCal.

Completely agree with this. It shouldn't be too hard to integrate geofencing in.

I use the calendar a lot as its synced to my google calendar, and often 'invite' the wife so we both have reminders of what eachother are doing so we don't organise over stuff, so the reminders only ever gets used if I need to remember milk...

Ok well this fixed the issue for me, i checked the reminder this morning as being complete and sure enough it created one for tomorrow morning. It did not create the next one instantly but it was there in a couple of seconds.

Yep, same experience for me regarding the delay - iCloud sync, I assumed.

So there was an app that did exactly as I explained and even showed task in the lock screen as well, it was called Slide To Do and has been mysteriously pulled from the App Store.

I would rather not clutter up my calendar with trivial tasks such as buying milk, etc. I prefer using the month view in iCal so it clutters up quickly with lots of to do tasks. All my important tasks go in iCal while my less important tasks go into my reminder app.

In response to the original topic, I use a different app than Apple's Reminder that's great for reoccurring reminders. There many apps out there to choose from.

I use daily reminders that way and it works fine for me.

Like what?
I like using the TellMeLater app. It's makes creating reminders quicker than Apple's app. There is a function to do daily, weekly, and monthly repeats. It also has the function to do a quick 10 minute, 1 hour "snooze" alarm again, or a quick custom time. I don't know if you'll like it but it works for me.

If you create the daily reminder, and check it off as complete each day, close the reminder app. After a few seconds it will show up againfor the next day.

Reminders should have this feature.

I use an app called Due. It's very good and there's a desktop version that syncs.

I suppose you could also use the Clock app and set a daily alarm labelled "Take Pills"

I set up a reminder that repeats daily and I get a message every day. If you a not getting that to happen, try deleting the old one and creating a new reminder and setting the repeat for every day.
