Hey!
I can't seem to sync my photos to my Mac photos (Using macOS Big Sur) and it's up to date and it's MacBook Air M1. I can't seem to sync photos from my iPhone 12 mini to my Mac and I've been googling, doing speed tests, restarted my computer, restarted Photos app, checked if the low power mode is on, charged Macs and iPhone's battery almost to full, nearly started crying and I've tried everything I could possibly try and even syncing is not paused and I've removed "Photos" from iCloud sync settings and added it back, the photos are not just appearing to my Mac's Photos app. I can see them on iCloud though. I can go to iCloud.com sign in and click Photos and there they are, but not on the Photos app on my MacBook.

Getting pissed off and tired, really. :( Any help?

You mentioned that you charged the Macs battery, are you trying to have them sync when it’s not plugged in? It could depend on how many you are trying to sync, but in my experience, my photos don’t tend to sync until the Mac is connected to power.

Thank you all for your help.
My Mac is still on the battery but the photos have synced. I don't know what was wrong or why it lasted so long.

I assume you were trying to sync wirelessly. That can take a long time, especially with lots of photos to transfer.

A much faster synching method is to plug the iPhone directly into the Mac and sync that way. Not sure how things work under Big Sur, but under most older OSs, you sync via iTunes — or, you can set up Photos to launch automatically and transfer the photos from the phone to whichever photo folder you wish.

Well, yes, that's why I pay for my iCloud storage. The weird thing is I saw photos on iCloud many many hours ago, but not in Photos Mac app. I dont know what happened and why it synced now…
