It just bugged me and i wanted to rant 
To me i see that as a fail analysis - even a vague look at the upgrade trends says its hardly linear - not to mention expected effects of theories of accelerating new technologies.
This is by no means a winge saying we should have new ones soon - but that there is a founded reason as to why people expect them
Below i bolded what i consider a major update to the iMac opposed to just refreshes ( though you of course may/will disagree

What i personally would like would be a form-refresh pre-christmas - then an Arrandale sex-up next year - though below sorta says speed is usually a while after major bits. Shame - anyway - like i said - that's why people are bored of just more GHz!
