Hi all,

I've been deliberating on whether to buy the new MacBook Air ever since it came out. I usually don't buy things with a price tag like this without going over all the details and making sure it's the right decision, so it took me some time. Last week I finally decided to order the 13" 1.86GHz / 128GB / 4GB model.

In the past few months I read through all the reviews and posts on these forums, which really helped me a lot to figure things out. I wrote a blog post about all the considerations I made before jumping in:

It's a bit lengthy, but I'm hoping it can be helpful for anyone who's in the same boat. My order should arrive in the next few days, when I'll be able to tell if I really did make the right call. :p

nice writeup, and yeah, at the end of the day the air is more than adequate for anyone BUT power users.

Love my quad core i5, but realistically I don't NEED all that power.
the air has been a dream for me, and I'm happy that your happy with the decision.

The most powerful laptop is the one you have with you. My MBA goes everywhere with me. My 15 inch MBP's hardly ever did.
