Certainly the contrast and brightness of the xdr display must be substantially better than the liquid retina display of the 11” but there are a couple of reasons why I think the current one is better (at least for me):
1. I don’t really watch movies on the iPad, I use it mostly for reading and from what I understand, it mainly shines when playing hdr content.
2. It will most likely cost $100 more than the current one
3. Blooming artefacts, especially When displaying text in dark mode
4. Apparently uses pwm (even if it is with a high refresh) vs. no pwm in the current model
