I've been using Apple Music since day one (library being uploaded and locally deleted day one).

It has always been slow. Why can't Apple make search and browsing as snappy as Spotify? Currently I am using both services, because of a free Spotify offer and I have to say the difference is remarkable. Searching and browsing in Spotify is so incredibly fast. Search results appear before you even finished typing. In Apple Music I type, hit enter, most of the time have I have to click Apple Music because it's reverted to library search, then wait, wait, wait, click on the result, wait, wait, wait .......

I just can't figure out how a company of this magnitude can't do better than that.

Am I the only one annoyed by this?

Edit: I am talking about Mac mostly. In iOS it's working a lot better.

You are 100% right. Apple Music on the Mac is incredibly slow. Changing categories, from library to "For You" takes ages. It is really shocking how poorly the code is for Apple Music on Mac. You'd think that after music was separated from iTunes, things would get better, not worse, but that's Apple's coding ability today.

It's even slower in iTunes on Windows.

It's not just AM, from my experience the whole infrastructure is slow. Whenever I use Podcasts or Books apps there is a noticeable delay before it syncs (and sometimes it doesn't sync at all, but that's another story). Today I was uploading a file to icloud drive on a 50 Mbps (6 MB/s) upload and I got a whooping 300 KB/s.

In IOS, Apple Music is so buggy for me...Forgetting where I paused it from less than an hour ago, App refreshing (VERY annoying when listening to a web cast), freezing, hanging, skipping...it‘s such an Un-Apple experience & has been for a while now.

Maybe my near 3 year old phone’s showing its age & overheating?...
