Just a laptop.

A laptop contains all of my life, with mobility, around with me.
It allows me to both work, and play, at a park, in an airplane, or naked in bed.
It provides a mobile method of attaining any information I want, and sharing my life with the world.

Just a laptop, eh?

I was going to say that you wouldn't know as you probably don't have one. But you do:eek:

I dunno what the big deal is either, all I know is, it truly is a beautiful peice of equipment and I was dead excited when I got mine about 3 weeks ago, and I still love this thing to peices. It's just a brilliant peice of kit!

And of course, being able to run XP and OSX together, on the same machine with all of Apple's new Intel products is a huge step forward IMO, now people (like me) that always put off getting a Mac because they couldn't play there Windows games/apps have no excuse:D

Why do we want our laptops?

A laptop, like all modern computers, contains some of the most advanced technology in the world.

High tech cooling systems, thousands of components from all over the world, the ability to store gigabytes of information and process gigaflops of calculations every second, what do we use all this for?...

Games.

And sometimes words and sh*t.

It's the extension of my brain in a box, a beautiful box at that. That and the fact that I've been waiting for the C2D MBP upgrade for what seems like an eternity.
