I have had my Ipad since Saturday and have used it quite a bit. I have yet to charge it.

It still has over 40% charge since this morning.

My question relates to push. I push both my exchange and MobileMe to it. I get push notifications in real time.

It Dings right along with my iphone. No delays even when it is asleep. I heard it ding all night.

I thought wifi was supposed to be off when it sleeps? Mine is on because I am getting the pushes.

Other than that, I question why Apple chose to make the iphone apps suck so bad on the Ipad. I mean if the resolution of the Iphone is half of the Ipad, they could have at least used half the screen and scaled the fonts, etc. It looks like crap.

The resolution isn't exactly half, they're not even the same aspect ratio. As for apps looking bad, that's on the developer, not Apple. Some apps I run at 2x look great, others look really bad.

They look like crap otherwise lazy developers wouldn't update their apps for the iPad

This is lazy on Apples end. They should have redid the iPhones ui graphics to the higher res and used system fonts to upscale. Then most of those apps wouldn't be so bad. But it also forces people to make iPad specific apps because it's so embaressing.

That would have been a huge problem and required validation of each app. Imagine if most apps had some areas crisp and some blurry and some blocky. You already see blurry and blocky in some apps where they mix custom and native fonts.
Even if it looks bad, consistency is far better than unpredictable results.

That was not lazy of apple but smart. I think the developers of the "iPad" apps that are identical to the iPhone except in resolution are lazy. All that screen real-estate and you don't have the creativity to do anything new with it?
