Why is itunes/ipod so slow at syncing now?

i don't remember my ipod taking forever to sync like it does not with 5.0 and new itunes. Also sometimes songs that i have fixed with album art before have the album art deleted from them again. its usually the same 4 songs and i always have to delete and then copy them back to the ipod. Also i tried to edit the text of an album and it wouldn't let me change it from deluxe version to non deluxe. i had to actual delete the songs off my ipod and then re add the songs without the words deluxe on it. i should be able to change the way things are labeled on my ipod without resyncing. is this an itunes issue or is it my 5 year old computer that just isn't compatible now.

I synced my iPod nano the other day and it took much longer to connect and load iTunes than it used to.

I haven't had any issues with slow syncing my itunes.

If I use my Win7 notebook it takes forever, but it's fine on my Mac.

i think if i use a program and copy my songs and playlists to my new mac and then restore the ipod touch and have it used on a mac in the beginning i might not have this problem anymore

with my new mac it is faster but still takes a while since it always says updating genius and updating files. its always same amount of files to about 460. and i have 8555. on my ipod

Noticed today that my iPod needed charging.... back to normal quick sync now.

It's faster now but still wheni edit something in a song on the iPod it updates and takes few seconds to let me do anything else. If that make sense

I agree. I hope the next version of iOS 5 would run much smoother with syncing + I hope the cover flow would run smoothly as well

iTunes 12.0.1.26 under Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10 is slow syncing to iPhone 5 iOS 8.1.1

I have an iMac mid-2011 with Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10 and iTunes 12.0.1.26 and it is SO SLOW syncing photos to my iPhone 5 running iOS 8.1.1. There is nothing else running on my iMac and the photo sync is taking FOREVER. 136 photos to sync and it is taking 30 seconds to one minute per photo. I am so very tired of this!!
