I am just downloading the latest software updates to Keynote, numbers, pages and iMovie, and Launchpad has started doing a 2GB update in the background. This was not mentioned in the update notifications, anyone know why it is doing it, 2GB seems a lot.

The 2GB you are referring to is the apps you are downloading... The status, amount and time to download no longer shows on the App Store, it has moved to the Launchpad. It is nothing to worry about.

Thanks, i didn't realise that.

I could see the, Keynote, Numbers and pages downloads were only about 30mb each, but i couldn't see what size the iMovie download was, it must have been quite a large update and made up the rest to make the total 2gb.

iMovie was about 2GB's worth... :)

Thank You randomgeeza!

I was doing some updates on a few MB Pro's. I think I quit App Store because I thought it was done, then I saw the progress bar on the Launchpad icon.

I don't know why they decide to do things like this. Why not show the full install in App Store?
