Why is my download speed so bad [Didn't know where to post this][HELP]

Hi,

So i have no problem with my Mac just note that!
My mac is fast and fine..

But if i come to download something on my Mac or Xbox, it is slow as fudge

I am downloading the update for BFBC 2 on xbox atm, and it has taken me half an hour to do 14% and it took my mate (who lives about 10 min walk away from me) about 20 mins to complete the whole thing...

The download is only 400MB!!

Is there anyway i can speed up my download speed for my router
(nothing to do with Mac or Xbox JUST router!)

My parents sort all the shiz out, i have belkin router..

this is most likely problem with your internet connection because even the basic routers should be able to do 30Mbit/s+ (for g standard box says 50 but idk if thats theoretical speed)

We can't really tell you if the speeds are abnormal if you don't know what you're paying for...
