why is my finder being an outcast?

I can't click on it and when I click on the desktop Finder still works, but it's just not...on the dock right...?

whats up with that?
this is the second time it has happened, once on my PPC iMac & once on my (intel...obviously) MacBook Pro.

edit, the dock still works.

Try a restart.

You may need to do a Spotlight search for the file com.apple.dock.plist and drag it to the desktop before restarting. This problem has cropped up on here a few times in the past...

We had two in the space of two hours back in December...that was weird.

when i restarted, nothing happened...so i kinda got a wee bit worried, but trashing that worked! haha it was funny though.
