iPod Why is Pat Benatar all over my music list?

Why has this happened? How can I fix this?

Look at it this way...every list is better with Pat Benatar on it!

Looks like something screwy with the tags. Is she list under any of the tags? Probably not the artist, or you music would be rearranged (maybe). But perhaps a different tag is at fault.

Crimes of Passions by Pat Benatar was the first cassette I ever bought. I never thought there would be a time I didnt like Pat Benatar but Im not of not liking her right now.

Im not familar with tags.

In fact, I didnt realize I could scroll down and choose 'albums'. Ive been choosing by Artist and I thought "well, what if I dont want the 6 albums they made loaded onto the Shuffle and then I saw the albums option.

iTunes has been having a lot of problems reading and writing to its library files of late. I wouldn't be surprised if it had to do with that.

Even if you had the sorting set to have all those albums sorted under her name, it wouldn't appear like that in the sync list.

Pick a song that's giving you problems, right click on it, and select Get Info. What's showing as Artist? How about Album Artist? Anything on the Details not not making sense? Check the other tabs in that window and see if anything else looks off.
