Left is Disney+ App, Right is Safari via the DisneyPlus website. Device is 2021 12.9inch iPad Pro

Why is the Disney+ app noticeably darker than Safari playing same content?

Conversely the audio is noticeably better in the Disney+ app so you end up having to pick better audio with a darker image or brigher image with softer audio. First world problems I know but still annoying.

I don’t think it’s specific to mini LED so not a duplicate thread. This is any iPad could even be iPhones too. Seems the Disney+ app does not show content as bright as it should be regardless of the device you are using.

You mean, why is Safari not showing the picture as it is supposed to be? Because it isn’t using HDR so it looks like ****.

Right looks terrible anyway, far too bright.

Yep. just as in the thread I linked to above, this - the Disney app - is what HDR content should look like.
