I didn't think that many people wanted to pay extra for another wireless plan for their Tablet.

Don't know what you're talking about. I ordered mine from AT&T on Friday and it came on launch day.

They are more popular because the carriers now finance them at 0% interest.

Get as in available? I have to say I'm super surprised that pretty much every new iPad is/was available as a walk-in.
Cellular was available today when i collected mine, no supply issues at all.

All color and capacity combinations for the Pro 10.5 LTE is available in at least one of the ten Apple stores within a 20-mile radius from me. It's the 12.9 LTE that's been hard to find (especially 512GB Space Gray).

On the contrary, its the 64 GB wifi models limited in my area. My cellular carrier also has plenty of LTE models available. LTE is more oriented for a mobile user where wifi is limited/restricted, which most rely on wifi capabilities.
