My iPhone 4 has more scratches after 3 weeks than my 3GS had in a year...and that's with my 3GS sliding across pavement screen down a few times.

1) Oliophobic (sp) coatings are soft.

2) Twice as much glass as before.

3) No "off the table" offset. Two flat surfaces with any kind of hard grit between equals nasty looking mark.

I keep it wrapped in a microfiber cloth in my pocket and I have a bumper on it. I have no idea what could be scratching it.

Its the bumper. Mine has scratches on the sides but wth...its bound to get scratched. Its just a phone my friend...and a cool one...enjoy!!

zagg invisible shield if you dont want scratches. that coupled with the bumper is good for showing off your device but its also protected from scratches.

if you are going to drop it on the floor though, not a lot you can do to stop damage.

I've had my 4 in a bumper for one full week. I decided to take the bumper off and I don't have a single scratch on it.

my scratches looks like it was dust or something that got in between the phone and bumper. But cool that you dont have any ;)

Went by an AT&T store yesterday to pick up an Incipio Silicrylic for my 4. There demo 4's were scratched to hell. Looks like they had been put through some tests by customers. One had some deep gauges.

Can the OP provide some pics? I'd like to see the scratches. Neither of mine have scratched so far.

My iPhone 4 seems to be just as scratch resistant or more than previous models. Not one scratch yet and it's had a couple.. incidents where I thought for sure it would have been.
