Downloading music off of iCloud has been broken since inception, and shows no signs of being fixed. It's exceedingly annoying, and still no sign of being fixed with Apple Music / ios9.

1) Queueing even a moderately high number of songs (1000+) completely craps out. "Unable to download song" is frequent. Why can't iOS queue like, say, Amazon music, which treats even mass downloads as singular, distinct items. It's perfect.

2) Failed songs prompt a pop-up, with no clear way out (aside from dismissing with done or retry, neither of which appear to do anything)

3) "Use cellular data" is ignored once items are queued. This is totally inexcusable, and has prompted hundreds of apple support threads over the years, mostly from people who blew through a data cap. other music apps (again, eg amazon) handle this perfectly.

I could go on and on, but don't want to whine that long...

Yeah. Apple needs to step it up a notch or 10. The quality and polish they were renowned for has gone to rubbish.

1/2. If you have failed downloads in Music.app, try going to iTunes Store app and select the Downloads tab (may be hidden in More) to manage the downloads.

3. I'm not sure what you mean. If I queue a song download, I see it as an explicit override of Use Cellular Data.

1-2 Still unmanageable. Why does queue depth impact the app so badly?

3 makes no sense. If anything, the opposite is true - if you force queued music with this switch set to off, maybe you could argue it should override (and actually iOS prompts you). I'm sorry, but you're not going to convince me that downloading music on cellular with a button that says "don't use cellular data to download music" is anything but a really bad bug.

Opps I thought you were talking about Use Cellular Data being Off. So when you say Use Cellular Data = On is ignored when items are queued you mean you want it to download over Wi-Fi? Just trying to make sense of this, sorry.

No. Here's what happens:
1) queue some music with wifi on. Use cellular data off, but doesn't matter as you're on wifi.
2). Turn off / leave wifi.
3) music downloads away on cellular despite having use cellular data set to off

Bug. Nasty one too, given that cancelling a large queue is ridiculously difficult. (Cancel all downloads in music simply doesn't work. Stuff pops back in. )

By the way, where's the button to press to download all my songs (including iTunes Match songs)?

In previous versions, I could create a playlist and press the button that added all songs. Then click to download the entire playlist. How do I do that now?
