Why is the store not down?

The store is not down. Is there going to be an option to pre-order one or not?

Not now. Only notification is available on the iPad site.

It won't start shipping until late March.

For now, there's a "Notify Me" section that will send you an e-mail when it'll be available to order.

Thanks for starting a new thread even though you could have just waited an hour or so to see if Apple does anything with the store.
