I know that nobody has the answer to this, but I must say that I’m more than surprised that Apple doesn’t offer a black or saddle brown case for their iPhone 13 pro lineup this year.
In my opinion, the black looked great with the graphite last year (though the cases weren’t what I would call true black - especially the silicone one - it was more like a dark gray or washed out black). But, removing the black option completely, seems very odd.
And the same goes for the saddle brown. The color has always been a “fan favorite”, and we’ve always loved to watch how the patina develops.
We all know that something changed with last year‘s model, and it didn’t age quite as well.
But, removing the option, and replacing it with a golden brown, that looks like a combination of the California poppy and SB, resulting in an almost indescribable orangey color, also seems very strange.
I find the new midnight case to be quite good looking, but in daytime, it’s easy to see that it’s not black.
Anyone else a little disappointed with Apple’s decisions this year?

I am yet to get my Midnight leather case, but there is not one other coloured case they have I like. If it's no good will be nomad black or brown when available here.

I snapped this picture this morning - it shows the midnight silicone and leather case next to my black wallet. The leather version is as close to black as you’re gonna get, but next to something that is truly black, I think the blue tint is quite visible in both cases.
The picture was taken indoors in natural lighting.

The blue tint on the leather case is definitely more subtle, but the more light you put to it the more it stands out. I ordered one to see with my own eyes and I keep trying to talk myself into it, but I just don’t want blue anything for my phone.

I personally don’t get it either. Same goes for the also MIA Product Red leather case.

Same, find it odd that there are no black leather this year.

Ordered a Midnight Apple Wallet, it's a deep dark blue. It might patina into black over time. However, I will be returning it in favor of my Black Apple Wallet. Looks better IMO, stronger magnet, and slightly lower profile.

Quite frustrating that they did this. I buy saddle brown for all my iPhones (although last year the patina was horrible). Now they have an orange case they call honey brown or other odd colors. No black or even dark blue like last year. Someone was smoking something when they came up with these colors. The midnight is the best of the bunch I guess, But I feel it’s time to order Bullstrap. Apple needs to go back to what made them popular in their leather cases.

Same with the watch bands , no black !! Wonder what the issue is ..they always had black in the line up ever since they started making cases ..

Not having the brown baffles me, dark grey/black/whatever is kind of all on the same level.

BUT IT’S a leather case!!!! How can you not have a BROWN/BROWN/BROWN case lol.
