Why isn't Tweetbot 3 an upgrade?

I'm running Tweetbot 2.5.7 in High Sierra, and wonder why Tweetbot 3 doesn't show in my Apple Store upgrades? Anyone know why?

Because its a new app version and sold separately. Not an upgrade from TB 2

You will have to read the description on the Apps page in the Mac App Store and decide for yourself if the changes are worth the upgrade. I looked it over myself and didn't see a compelling case to upgrade, so I didn't.
