Few friends and co-workers jailbreak their iPad and they are happy, BUT.... I play with those iPads and it doesn't seems better than mine. Just a couple of things capture my attention, Pirate apps and wireless sync.

I already paid more than a hundred on apps, I don't see my self stealing apps, other than that.... What I will get with a jailbreak device that I don't have now with my virgin iPad?

Can you run Flash? maybe that will be my motivation otherwise I don't see my self jailbreaking my iPad....

Jailbreak only if there's stuff you want to do to your iPad that you can't normally do with it. You can also run apps that aren't authorized by Apple.

I think it's a waste of time and energy personally.

Run things in the background better than what 4.0 will offer, a better task manager than 4.0, NES and SNES emulators to play old games, more customization, cooler badges for multitasking. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide if it's worth it for you :)

Also, I've realized that jail breaking the iPhone allows a lot more "extras" but that is more than likely just bc the iPad is so new

Backgrounder is really the only app that I'd want at the moment. Some apps are annoying if you can't have them running in the background because they need to reload/refresh when you go in and out otherwise.

If you search this forum for "why jailbreak" you'll see this question has been asked and answered many times. I used to try to give sincere answers, but at this point I think if you have to post a thread asking why you should do it, you probably shouldn't.

I did it to 2 different iPads and although it was nice to be able to run apps in the background, I found that my iPad was very unstable and was doing all kinds of weird stuff. The apps I downloaded from Cydia would crash constantly or not work at all. I'm happy just to wait until OS 4.0 comes out myself.
