when there's the APP store? my phone is not Jailbroken and I don't intend on doing it for a long time...

just several questions I've been wondering about and could not find answer for them online...

1- why don't third parties who produce applications for Cyndia etc... give the applications to the App store so they can become official?

2- if they do. why doesn't the app store accepts these applications?

3- we all know a jailbroken phone can do a LOT more than a normal locked iPhone from customization to taking videos to other cool stuff.... why apple has put such restrictions on the iPhone?

thanks for answering my questions!

Sometimes they try.. Cycorder, Quake.. but they get denied by Apple.

Because Apple has strict restrictions for developers and many apps need to break those restrictions to give us the features we want.

Good question.. ask Steve Jobs ;)

1. Most of the apps on Cyndia are doing things that the SDK doesn't allow, like camera functions.
2. As these apps are doing things the SDK doesn't allow, they won't be accepted - they have basically got round apples restrictions.
3. Who knows - maybe they are holding back features for a future iPhone?

I love having a video recorder (cycorder), and also i just got Swirly MMS to work and it is awesome. All i need is copy and paste and it has all of the features my 8525 had, but is much smoother.
