My left AirPod doesn’t connect to my phone and it always shows charging status (when it’s inside or outside the charging case). Sometimes I can see flashing green light on my charging case and animation on my phone screen doesn’t show AirPod charge level. I tried many times to reset the settings, but nothing changed.
How should I solve this problem?

Sorry, English is not my main language and I do some mistakes, but I wish you will help me.

I would let everything discharge. Clean out the case to make sure there isn’t anything blocking the connection. Once discharged charge to full and then try to connect. If that fails then remove from iPhone and factory reset. This has helped me in the past with that issue.

Is there a firmware mismatch by any chance?

If not, then 'Forget AirPods' from all your IOS devices, restart your IOS devices & re-discover them on one device until both AirPods are detected before pairing them to other devices.

Well, I tried it for several times, but it doesn’t work. Could it be a firmware issue? Maybe one Airpod lost his firmware.
Is there some way to update them forcibly?

no way to force an update. you may have to take them into Apple if you're around a store.

Warranty on them has already expired. And unfortunately, there is no Apple store in my town and I think that local services don’t practice repairing such devices.

do you have access to someone's charging case? if so, maybe you can see if it'll charge in that case.

My sister had the same issue and nothing she did fixed it. She took them to the Apple Store. They took them into the back for 2 hours and when they brought them out they worked. She doesn't know what they did though.

The usual fix for this issue is to forget the AirPods in bluetooth settings, place both air pods in the fully charged case, hold the button on the case until the light in the case flashes amber to white (with the lid open). After it flashes white you can release the button. You have now reset your AirPods. You will now need to re-pair them with your iPhone. This worked for me when I had the very same issue.

However now I have intermittent charging issues with either left or right, it is definitely a bad charging case. Mine is out of warranty (had it replaced once when it was in warranty) local apple care in my country charges $60 for a replacement case, hate to spend the money for a new charging case but I am fed up with this issue so I will head to the store today.
