I have a Mac Mini 2012, Running macOS Yosemite. The Monitor is connected with HDMI and the screen seems to be impossible to fit the monitor. Any resolution advice with SwitchresX or any app for the same thing?

I can't find that resolution on the default Mac Mini settings and when I selected on the SwitchResX app, the 1920 x 1080 compress the image leaving black bars on top and down. The one that works fine, but super small is 1920 x 1200!

If you hold option and click the "Scaled" button in the Display system preference you should see some resolutions listed. That display supports 1280x1024, so check to see if you have one of those listed there.

I solved my problem on Reddit. It was all because the port I was using to connect my monitor was HDMI instead of VGA. With other resolution settings, we find the one that worked.
