Why no Apple made in other countries?

Last year, with our local currency near a Dolar, Apple becames a cool option to buy. A lot of stores here put iMacs, Mac Minis and MacBooks for sell at the main display - a good machine, now with a price that we can pay for. But since this world financial crisis, all imported machines incrases their prices and bye bye american dream... again.

Today there is many brands maked here, like Dell and even some local brands. There is a good and continuous demand for computers. Course not every world brand will put a factory here, but the biggest are allready here - but Apple.

Why Apple does not make computers all over the world like all others big brands? They don't like making money?

'Here' means a 3th world country like Brazil.

You must understand that outside of North America and Western Europe, Macs are very few and far between.

All Macs are made in China, just like Dell and HP, but Dell and HP have no problem losing a bit of profit to keep a dominant position in the market. For Apple to really make money in poorer countries, they would need to make extremely cheap computers, which they don't want to do. They easily make as much money as Dell and HP, but by commanding a high profit margin instead of high sales.

There is a HP factory in a City near by where I live, and a Dell factory even closer. HP make a lot of CPUs and Dell, most of it's notebooks. It's cool becouse if we need support, Dell is very fast, allways got the parts needed. HP is really a cheap computer - I agree with you. They are here just to keep a market place? We'll see...

I presume they don't build Macs in Brazil because it's cheaper to build them in China. Money is really the driving factor in all business decision and it's likely cheaper for Apple to build their computers in China, hence why they do.

They have factories in Brazil and China because sadly, they can get away with paying you little money for long hours. There are not factories all over the world though. Dell have one factory in the whole of Europe, in Ireland and all they do there is assemble components from China.

Another thing, Apple don't actually manufacture anything they sell. They design the product at Apple in California, then commission another company (usually Foxconn or Asus) to build it for them. So Apple has no control over where there stuff is built, what conditions it's made in etc. Dell and HP have their own factories because they sell a lot more, making it cheaper for them to do it themselves.
