I use PageOnce and love it, but why in the world doesn't AT&T have its own app? It could easily show minutes used, texts used, bill info, possibly even shop on there (which I doubt I would use, but it would give them money).

I guess it just seems a little too much of a no-brainer to expect AT&T to do it.

They dont really need to, its not like they need more money coming from iphones

well, I think they enjoy you paying your bill on time and they enjoy you buying accessories for your iPhone from them and not a "3rd party seller".

But they dont need an app for people to use do they? Its pointless and irrelevant for them, if they want people to buy more iphone stuff they can just use safari and go on the net.

Am I missing something or isn't that what Safari and att.com on the iPhone is for? Even though the home page has flash you should still be able to access the Log In link.

[Edit]Doh! Silver-Fox beat me to it

of course, but have you ever tried doing that? its extremely annoying and I find myself just waiting until I get to my computer at home.

I'm talking about an app that just automatically logs you in (with the option of an easy to enter password), shows you an easy to view synopsis of the relevant info that you don't have to scroll around to, click on hard to click links, etc.

Dude it isnt hard to scroll around and click. It takes a few seconds, lets face it, its a pointless idea

Not to mention the fact that you can have AT&T text you how many minutes you've used, etc.

Fine, I think its clunky and could be smoother with a well made app, but I guess its not as universal as I would think.

WRT texting minutes, I was talking about more than just minutes used/left ie including texts, bill info, bill pay, etc, and having it all in one place. But maybe that isn't as useful as I would imagine it.

I think it's a good idea. I would use it.

I don't have a problem having AT&T do this AFTER they fix the network. AT&T, stop counting your iPhone lootz get back to work on the 3G network!

This is a great idea. I wonder if a 3rd party could program this somehow.

AT&T already has made an iPhone application

AT&T owns yellowpages.com which has an application in the App store.

Here is the press release

iTunes Link

However an app as such suggested in the thread may be useful to some people. I just use the dial codes.

Dial *646# for minutes
Dial *3282# for text messages
Dial *225# for balance

You can also find more codes on the iPhone : Settings/Phone/AT&T Services
