Why no Clay Solo Loop band?

Ordered a Natural Titanium iPhone Pro Max and will rock it naked or with the Clay silicon case, which seems to match nicely. (the FineWoven cases look like complete trash, leave it to apple to replace a biodegradable leather for a plastic case and fabric that will NEVER biodegrade all in the name of carbon neutrality)

To match I want to upgrade from my AW S4 finally and get the Apple Watch Ultra 2 with the olive alpine loop cause it might look cool with the phone setup.

In the vein, I was looking at other band options and Apple is selling a Clay braided Solo Loop that would probably look great with the AW U2 aaaaaaaannnnd a Clay Sport Band.

But why in the world to they not sell a Clay Solo Loop?????? to screw over Apple Watch ultra owners that want a cheap option to match the general color of the watch?

You’re probably better off. Several reports of them cracking in two pieces… including me. Thought the first one was a fluke from a bad batch. Got another one and they both lasted no longer than 10 months.

Same here, but they are so comfortable! Have you tried the braided loop? Or have you found any other band to be as comfortable?

I found it comfortable at first too. Probably up there in my top three but they stretched over time though and ended up becoming unusable for working out. It would eventually rotate around and slide down my wrist. Sweat didn’t help that either lol. Just putting it on made me cringe as I had to stretch it around my hand. Heard creaking and cracking at the connection point to the watch. Hermes leather is up there and probably also the Ultra trail loop.

I have not tried the braided solo loop but I wear a Wristcam now daily for everything. It is the ugliest and most uncomfortable I have ever tried but I like the fact of having a camera on my wrist at all times. I’ve been in several situations where I needed one and my phone wasn’t on me. Function over form for me.

I meant unusable during workouts only, with the stretching and the sweat combined.

The picture quality is supposed to be 4K, only after uploading it. When you put it on the charger, it auto connects to Wi-Fi and uploads the pics directly to the photos app. It also takes video, has a selfie camera and does video calling (not FaceTime though). My only gripe with it is the viewfinder is laggy. Other than that the photos and videos are pretty good for a small wrist worn camera that’s always available in a pinch.

Correct, but at least a percentage of the those cases will biodegrade, unlike the pure plastic of the FineWoven...

gross weight of millions of cases, that's a lot of extra plastic that will never biodegrade.

I bought the AW U 2 with the olive alpine loop.
Looks great in general and also with the Raw Titanium phone naked.

Looks ok with the Clay Silicon case. Not a close match but still looks nice. Phone looks good with the case, but naked is better.

I'm thinking about just grabbing the clay sport band in 45mm 🤷🏾‍♂️

Plus, the phone without a case looks better next to the watch. I did get a MagSafe PopSocket. Wish they made a "raw titanium" color though...

I really like your setup. May i see your phone in clay case and watch with alpine loop together? I'm gonna buy AWU2 and not sure which loop color to go with (olive or blue?). I have the same phone with clay case

Every photo I take is too big now to upload to the site so these are all screenshots. I will try and borrow my SO’s 13 Pro Max when I get a chance to load photos with the phone in the case.

The case ultimately looks darker than it does in the pictures.

Yep, same Olive Alpine loop and AW ultra 2 in all pics.

Tried to use some high contrast background to capture the true colors. I think this is pretty accurate. If I take any more pictures I’m gonna get made fun of now.

The clay sport band has already become my favorite. I've had several on since getting but don't last a day without going back to it. Guess I'll have to add to my clay collection.

Don’t have the clay sport band…

But I did get the clay BSL and it is my new go to for day to day (and sleep) wear on my Ultra 2.

Still love the Olive alpine band.

If I used the clay silicon case on my phone, I might get the matching sport band, but that case has been on my phone a total of like 3 hours since launch day.

Since I go caseless I am loving the Watch Edition only titanium band as it does match the phone perfectly. Only had it on my S7 titanium and need to try it on the Ultra one day.

I love this colour.

Have both the BSL & Sport Band variants.
