Desktop Safari has it: The unified search bar. But why isn't Apple killing the additional search text box in iOS? It wastes space and it isn't really intuitive.

I thought Apple definitely adds it in iOS5.1, but I was disappointed: Still two textboxes in Mobile Safari.

Killer new feature to be announced in June along the new iPhone for iOS 6.0 (?). Or maybe just the new iOS?

Not yet it doesn't. Safari 5.2 and Mountain Lion aren't out yet.

So I am betting we will see this in iOS 6, which is probably being released around the same time as Mountain Lion is.

As said before, I doubt that we'll be seeing that until after Safari 5.2 is released for Mac.

Yeah I'm guessing it will be one of the iOS 6.0 features, at least I hope it will.

I don't understand why we keep having to SLOWLY release these seemingly simple features. Chrome has had this since what? 2008? Should've been in Safari 5.0 and iOS 5.0. Give me a break.
