Why no weather on the lockscreen?

It seems like an obvious thing to do. Instead of having to unlock the phone, and swipe down, why can't it be available on the homescreen with a single press of the home button?

Guess we'll have to wait for the jailbreak.

Very good point. Apple should just delete the weather app and remove it from notification center as well.
