Why nothing new for the Macbook Pro's

Come on Mr Jobs, give us something new on the Macbook Pro, I've been waiting all week for a new drive or Chip to Penryn ??

Is it work waitng for a week or so to see what comes up ?

ive been waiting 4 months.


i was HOPING to buy it next week to aid me in my studies

seems i wont be now, as im guessing the update could be anytime.


apple has crippled my studies with their will they/wont they update strategy leaving me afraid to buy current gen MBP's.




i feel a lawsuit coming on

Well, i just got my MBP a couple months ago, but I promised myself if it had a powerful and promising update, I would get the new one.
No such luck.

There is no technology available for a "powerful" update.

The new Penryn chip at 2.8 ghz is maybe 2 to 5% faster than the 2.6ghz. That's it. You would never notice the difference.

The Current MBP has been rated a BEST BUY among PC Laptops by both PCWORLD and Information Technology in December 2007.

Those who waited, waited in vain. Can't say I blame anyone for waiting, but there was no good evidence for an update other than "hope."

I got my 2.6ghz, 17" high res, with 4gig ram and 200gig 7200rpm drive, three weeks ago and Love it. It flys.

Because Apple is waiting for YOU to buy a macbook pro. Then they will upgrade. So go on, get it over with so we can get new machines.
