Well yeah,

Just wanted to warn mac users against this application that I was so silly to try out a year ago. My Macbook Pro mid 2010 kept crashing and I didn't know why. I assumed the worst that they would need to change the motherboard, it was out of warranty.

But then they just reset my operative system and the fault was gone. No more kernel panics.

Then I downloaded PT again and the crashes appeared.

So, to say that nobody uses these applications is to be blind, so i'll just write it here so people know why their Macbook might be having kernel panics :)

Lol ... Any application that allows you to circumvent copyright distribution laws and essentially distribute pirated content is a long way from ever being classed as 'legit'. ;)
That's the version I had. It's s beta and so it crashed my mac.

My girlfriend has this software- we used it to watch The Americans and it was awesome. We never had any problems.

The one problem we did have was the letter we got from the ISP (Verizon FIOS) telling us to stop watching or we would be prosocuted.

Only three episodes left too :(

That's good that you didn't have any problems! Maybe the problem occurs on some specific macs...

Norwegians don't prosecute for popcorn time fortunately. Where are you from?

In relative terms of course. There's a nice post on reddit with the differences between the two versions. The other version comes loaded with malware.

I'm gonna take my first post back, I don't think Popcorn Time was the culprit after all.

Found an application called EtreCheck that scanned my system and found some old incompatible files lingering, let's see if I get any more panics.
