Guys at Cult of Mac did wrote this great article named "Why Retina Isn't Enough", explaining the bright future of displays. Article why soon we'll start seeing even higher pixel densities in our displays and why it's not a waste of resources.

Wanna discuss? :)

That'll happen when we decide that going outside is pointless, and it's better to be inside than outside.

That'll be in the next few years, if we keep crapping up the planet like we are

I have all three Retina devices. They are all very very crisp. The least crisp would probably be the iPad. I was hesitant in saying that because the display on it is still amazing.

I completely agree with what they say about how the higher pixel density makes things more real. I visited Europe in March and took photos with my 18 MP Canon t3i. Loaded them on the iPad, they were stunning. I have never taken pictures that looked so real.

Indeed. But hey:

Cult of Mac said:
Only True Retina displays can do the breathtaking beauty of our planet justice.

:/

I don't like the way people have started using this "Retina" term to describe displays with high pixel density. It's a marketing word and it is so very poorly defined.

True that, " Retina " doesn't really mean anything, though it might sell more displays.

I do like the Displays though, not the best. But still very good.
